Subject: A Night of Music & Laughs - NYC

I do administrative work for a small music production company called, BAG Music, and we are producing a benefit concert at The Town Hall in Times Square, NYC. The date for the show is Thursday, October 9th. We are very disappointed to find out that we have only sold a few tickets.

We were hoping to raise some money for this FDNY/UFA organization called the Thomas Elsasser Memorial Scholarship Fund. This supports families who have lost FDNY members due to non-line-of-duty illness or accident.

I would like to invite those of you who will be in the New York area on October 9th to come!

It is A Night of Music and Laughs—live blues and rock with some stand-up comedy thrown in. We have some amazing, established musicians and comedians that the average person probably would not have heard of…but they’re amazing all the same!

So, there’s no John Mayer but there is a young, up-and-coming, singer-songwriter named SKY SMEED. He is an adorable, acoustic guitar man, with a Kansas twist. He will do a few songs with the BAG Music band.

We also have a couple of special guests lined up but they’re kind of remotely involved at this point so we haven’t tried to use their names to sell the show, but they are coming! DAN AYKROYD is one—he plans to do a little harmonica. JOHN DIRESTA is sort of the headliner and he will do a comedy set. (He has that new WB show “Trash for Cash”.) There may be a very popular talk show host making an introduction or two, but that is in the last-minute works and I would like to keep it a surprise if it comes through. There will also be an unforgettable finale, with a “sneak peek” performance from a new Broadway show.
