Well, I can understand her fear...Especially with all the accidents that have happened lately. I do not believe that there will be a problem, with the plane at least. Advise her to ALWAYS walk in pairs and ride in pairs in cars/cabs also. And not to fear you mom...But you may want to tell her to carry Mace with her. I do not see her in any danger but sometimes others get out of control. It is for her own protection...PLUS, it will keep her on her toes.

Tell her to start trying to meditate....Before the plane ride tell her to pray or to being a conversation in her heart with God. This will put her at ease.

Also, get some nausea medicine before she gets on the plane....this will serve to calm her nerves.
