Subject: KFMK Galleries presents...Glenn Friedel...Luminous Transitions

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
New York, NY – (November 27, 2006)

Artist's Reception: December 14 , 6-9pm

Luminous Transitions is the New York debut for photogram artist Glenn
Friedel. In his photograms (cameraless photographs), Friedel portrays
that which makes us all human – the soul – not only to exhibit the beauty of
each individual but also to highlight the core similarity in all of us. His use
of color mixing, multiple exposures and subject movement sets his
photograms apart by creating a sensory fantasy where anything is possible,
even, and especially, the compassion and healing of humanity.
Glenn Friedel’s photograms are created by exposing various light sources
and objects, including live models, to photographic paper. The resulting
imagery is a beautiful amalgamation of abstraction and realism. Friedel’s
work has progressed from the static energy of the still image to the kinetic
energy of movement which he believes to be a truer representation of the
power within us.
