So to summarise, the answer to my question is the competitive dancers probably wont gain anything from any publicity come dancing may provide.

My pigeons are pets along with my coy carp and dog, don't really see why Robin put them in the same frame as snooker? its not a game they would enjoy, the tables are too big. ;-)

Oh and I can dance Robin, I don't, but I can. We were taught at school, and with two older sisters, and my mum being a tailoress who earned her living mainly from making very expensive ball gowns, it was not something I could avoid! I went to loads of dances in my teens, was a pretty cool rock n roller, loved going to the open air Jazz jive concerts in and around Dorset and Somerset, when we got knackered we did a dance called the 'creep'? sort of slow fox but you only moved your feet about 2 inches on each step, made good progress with your partners though. :-) But compared to competitive dancers.. I cant dance!

I agree about it being far more interesting to watch than house makeovers or people buying cheaper houses in other countries. TV is pretty boring most days. For people who are living away from home putting a TV card in your PC is a good idea, you don't need to buy a TV or video recorder, you can get all the channels you get with the latest £100 box, and you can record, then save to DVD VCD CDROM etc etc, my TV card cost £66 delivered to my door, and works extremely well. Oh and I can record from a VHS and copy to DVD etc as well..

Thanks for your input... James.
