Ok, fair comment. I agree to drop the last part. But I would just add an extra procedure by which people can propose to expel a member of the standing committee, and this could be voted on separately. ie.

Ordinary members may propose a vote of no confidence in a member of the SC. This will cost £20, and will then be voted on by the IVDA GM in an e-GM. The £20 shall be refunded if successful.

Yes, the money is supposed to be a deterrent. I'm happy to have it a bit higher, but not too much. We don't want to bankrupt societies over making genuine, but failed, appeals.

Anyone who has any doubts about Rachelle's propriety in dealing with the SC last year is quite wrong, and I know, since I saw all the correspondence sent.

On the conflicts of interest point, it's an interesting one, but I don't think we can reasonably change it because it's hard enough to get 3 SC members to start with.

PS. Even though I may not make it to the IVDA meeting tomorrow due to travelling to Singapore, I would like to stand for standing committee, and am happy to chair it if noone else does. I think I know the constitution reasonably well.
