And the point of having ex-student events in uni comps in the first place is that ex-students are there to support their team. Not that they just turn up to dance their own event and then bugger off again. A lot of people feel strongly about the role of ex-students in uni comps in the first place, and question whether they should be allowed. In my opinion this kind of attitude just reinforces the case against allowing ex-students at all. If you just want to compete, go to open circuit comps. If you want to be there for your team, stay all day. Sorry if that sounds harsh. But if the only reason you're there is to win a trophy (which at comps like Warwick where it tends to be a straight final for ex-students anyway is frankly not hard to do) then isn't that just a little sad?
