Hiya Tim. I think as men are so scarce in dancesport we should ban all foreign girls from dancing for the UK? might not be "politically correct" but it would be sensible. lol.. And if the IDSF continue to try to achieve their ambition to get into the Olympics, mixed nationality couples are ineligible anyway...

As for the people running pigeon racing.. They take some believing, one bloke wrote and told me that at a local region meeting the committee asked both the "prosecution" and the "defendant" (misconduct case) to wait outside before the case was presented, as the chairman had ruled them "interested parties"? (duhh).. I don't know what case they discussed or how they reached a decision but they found in favour of the defendant, who incidentally was president of the region!! lmho... Oddly enough they refused to publish the minutes of that meeting in spite of a rule stating all minutes must be published in the fancy press within 3 weeks of the meeting being held...

This same 'president' also served on the rules committee for the RPRA!!! To cut a long story short he was eventually forced to resign from all the official positions he held... :-)

Another funny case was having taken a regional committee to court and won his case, the same committee then tried to ban the man concerned for misconduct for taking them to court? I'm not making this up.. it really happened, and many other similar cases as well... Fortunately things have improved a great deal since then. But for various reasons their numbers dropped from around 250,000 to less than 20,000 in ten years!! The sport will never recover.... :-(

Dunno what the pigeons will do on the weekends now though, they can't join dancesport and do the sunday circuit coz they are crap as dancers... :-)
