Boy scouts says this about paintballing

"The activity commonly referred to as "War Game" - in which individuals shoot paint or dye at one another - is an unauthorized activity."

My name is Ben Burmeister, I am an Eagle from Seymour. My Dad is Aaron Burmeister He is the scoutmaster of our troop 117. And I was wondering why Paintballing or what you guys call War Game, {""The activity commonly referred to as "War Game" - in which individuals shoot paint or dye at one another""} is illegal in scouting Paintballing has come a long ways since its early days back in the 1980s. Since then the have came up with Eye and body protection. I work as a profrfesional reffree at Outdoor Adventures Paintball in Freemont. In my job I enforce the rules of paintball and keep it safe. There are over 50 paintball fields in wisconsin alone. One reson i belive it should be accepted as a scout activity is that it teaches leadership. It also teaches how to make a plan and stick to it. And it is a great way to get in shape. It also teaches problem solving and communication skills. I belive it would be a great thing to get some troops out playing on the feilds and learn some of these valubale skills. Many people do not see the reality of paintball they just see what they see on TV the crimes and violance but there are over 7 million players in the USA alone that respect the rules and strive to change the pregadistic views. Myself being one of them. Plus paintball is very safe, you are more likely to injure yourself bowling than injure yourself playing paintball. I would be extremely please to see something done about this rule.
Thank You
Ben Burmeister.
