I never said anything about the silent treatment. I meant the farthest possible thing from that. In my society if you broke the laws and refused to make reparations then the protection of the laws would be taken from you. You could do anything you wanted and not get in trouble. But anyone could do anything to you and not get in trouble for it. This is because you lost the protection of the law. You could be boiled alive and the person who boiled you alive could not get in trouble because you no longer had the protection of the law. Does this make sense?
