Well, how do you know that they were gnomes? Did you ever see one? I've never seen a gnome, except for those little ceramic ones that people have in their gardens.
I do believe in ghosts, even though I am not sure about gnomes. The Inn that my stepmom works at is haunted by the ghost of a lady who died there about 100 years ago. She was leaning from the balcony to reach an apple that was on a tree and she fell and broke her neck.
