I don't really care about Jesse Jackson's affair, in fact, I don't care at all. I got really fed up with all the obnoxious sex scandal stuff during the Clinton years and I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to think about it. Not only is it trivial, it's icky.

as far as the whole Ashcroftn thing goes, I think that the big beef is that he's all uber-conservative and not the kind of person that you'd expect a "uniter" to appoint. Oh yeah, and maybe it isn't right to get all riled up about racism because of the judge appointments, but you gotta wonder about that whole opposing desgregation thing. Anyways, he's confirmed so there's no use worrying about it. We'll just see what happens.
