I totally agree. If I were to get pregnant, I honestly don't know whether I would actually get an abortion or not, but I would like to be able to have that option. I am not in a situation where I could raise a child- I can barely pay for my car insurance, and my family doesn't have extra money lying around.
I think that kids who grow up with parents who are either way too young or just not fit to raise a child face so many more problems. Also, I have noticed that boys who grow up without a positive male role model and guys who don't have a good relationship with their mother treat girls badly. I have learned this from personal experience. And girls who grow up in broken families tend to be more insecure and have less self-respect. Family is an extremely important part of the way a child turns out. Children with loving, supportive parents will end up being loving and supportive. Children with violent parents will end up being violent.
Basically what I'm saying is that while I don't think that abortion is morally "right" in all situations, in some cases it is necessary. I don't think that abortions should be too easy to get, but they should be legal. Besides, even if they were illegal, women would still be getting them and they would be much more dangerous.

As for the death penalty, I agree with Liz. I just don't see the point at all. Someone makes a mistake, so you kill them. How is that punishment?
