In recognition of music as an art form and musicians as some of our most revered artists, the DTS Music Software Development Program was created to deliver the most accurate reproductions of a wide variety of audio "masterpieces ".

Each DTS-encoded, multi-channel compact disc delivers a 3-dimensional soundfield that renders the "stereo version" obsolete in terms of sonic realism. And a continually expanding catalog, is now under development resulting in what will soon be the finest "collection" of musical art in the history of recorded sound.

LEVEL 1: ART PRESERVATION
Many "classic" recordings were originally mixed into multi-channel master tapes that preserved the 3-dimensionality intended for the recording, but were released with a ' flattened "2-channel mix to accommodate stereo playback systems. Now, with DTS Digital Surround, these "classic" masters can be experienced with all of the sonic realism of the original 3-dimensional soundfield. (Including the first true reproduction of The Moody Blues' "Days of Future Passed".)

LEVEL 2: ART RESTORATION
The original 24 or 48 track masters of many recordings can now be remixed into a multi-channel soundfield that accurately restores the spatial realism lost in the traditional "stereo mix ". (Imagine a Pavarotti recording where you actually feel like you are in a "live" audience.)

LEVEL 3: ART ADVANCEMENT
As we approach the new millennium, there is no limit to the creativity that artists, engineers and producers will apply to a multi-channel DTS recording with "true" 3-dimensional sonic capabilities. (The next Alan Parsons album will demonstrate an unprecedented spatial experience.)
