whitey here.!
as far as the current line up is concerned Glastonbury is the last gig for the forseeable furure .

TELFORD INTERNATIONAL ARENA .

Well there you have it , Telford international arena , a proud boast for what is essentially a large aircraft hanger with a shopping centre attached , the planners dream gone wrong . But , as a gig it delivers on every level , good sound , good accoustics on stage and for whatever reason a place that 5000 people seem to be up for it enough to come and and give us the pre Glastonbury send off we needed .
Like the last time we played here it was an excellent gig for us , maybe word of mouth had ensured a capacity sell out last night , all in all a really nice way to close a little chapter . Last night was the last indoor gig for certain that this band will do , definately this year , and probably at the very least until the middle of next year , so all those that have voiced concern to me at the contents of the set recently , you have nothing more to worry about . All in all a nice little high to go off on , i hope Glasto lives up to the hype , those gigs never quite do for me , but then again at my stage in my career i dont really equate the prospect of cider man and brown bottle rolling in the mud and cow shite as we approach the stage as particularly exciting . So this is how things are working out for this year if any of you are interested , keep checking in for info and thanks for all your feedback and support

Watched the Glasto set on the telly, not particulary exciting was it, Wild Wood, closing with Malice etc.Thought the V set was more punchy, Running on the Spot being the highlight. Damon looked extremely pissed off with the whole thing imo.Perhaps they do need some new blood, but keep Whitey. Was watching the 150 DVD the other night, why did'nt SC play? Not sure what way Weller can go now anyway, perhaps he can write a song called ' going through the motions'.

For what its worth, Damon looks bored rigid and has done for some time, ( even more so at the weekend.) Craddock just goes through the motions, and Weller should do more thrusting Jam songs, instead of the old chestnuts.Wild Wood, YDSTM, Clouds etc. It's a nice set for the ladies, but bearing in mind what he could do, he's selling himself short imo.Get that guitarist back who did the 150 show, keep Stevie White. The best song I've heard him play for a long time was Running OTP last yr at V, and please, no more Malice.

[> [> I agree about the keyboards. I like the extra dimension they give and thought Seamus Beagram did a good job. I guess Mickey Talbot would be great but would that be seen as progression!? :-) -- The Weaver (happy), 12:06:45 06/28/07 Thu
