Subject: Jools Holland's Hootenanny! 10.50pm, Sunday, 31st December 2006 BBC2

Paul Weller
The Modfather will be rounding off a packed year that's seen him honoured with a life achievement award at The Brits and a top-ten album, 'Hit Parade', a career spanning collection of old and new hits.

Sam Moore
This year, the original "Soul Man" of 'Sam and Dave' fame was awarded a MOBO to honour his songwriting career. He'll be adding his classic Stax sound to the mix to help ring in the new year.

Amy Winehouse
The North London chanteuse will be raising a toast to a year that's seen her hit the top three with latest album 'Back to Black', and perform collaborations with the likes of Paul Weller and Charlotte Church.

Seasick Steve
The American bluesman is known for his unusual instruments, including the three-stringed guitar, which he'll be playing at the festivities.

Lily Allen
The street-pop princess dominated the airwaves this summer with songs from her number one album 'Alright, Still' and she'll be bringing her sunshine sound to the party.

The Kooks
The Brighton boys will no doubt be making resolutions to repeat the success of the past year, which has seen them hit the million seller mark with debut album 'Inside In/Inside Out'.

Ray LaMontagne
The Maine-born singer songwriter hit the UK top five this year with his debut album, 'Trouble'. He brings his bluesy-folk to Jools' party this year.

Madeleine Peyroux
The Georgia-born, Paris-raised singer is a rare presence on television but this New Years Eve, she will be adding her dulcet nu-jazz melodies to Jools' get-together.

James Morrison
The singer songwriter returns to jam with Jools, having made his TV debut on Later... earlier in the year. After that appearance, he went on to hit the number one spot with his debut album 'Undiscovered'.

Marc Almond
Hootenanny regular Marc Almond will be back to join in the fun this New Year's Eve, serenading us with the help of Jools and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

The Zutons
Liverpool's finest have had another non-stop year, with the release of a second platinum-selling album and tickets for their recent tour selling out up and down the UK. They deserve a party popper or two!

[> [> I've got most of it. I edited out some of the talky bits, The Zutons (don't like them!!), Ray LaMontagne and AK's mate Seasick Steve so that I could get onto a DVD without reducing the quality. But I do have Aid Edmondson doing Anarchy in the UK... which was class!! Happy to do a copy if you don't get a better offer!! -- HS, 21:38:22 01/03/07 Wed

It was great to see Rico get a solo for that - one ska legend playing the tune of another. Can't believe she introduced it as a Specials cover, though! -- The Weaver, 10:44:36 01/12/07 Fri
