Subject: PAUL WELLER at The Avalon Hollywood-February 03!!!

...Right across the street from the ever-famous Capitol Records building is the re-named Avalon theatre, (formerly known as the Palace), a decent Hollywood venue- Yet as PAUL proclaimed during the middle of their set the sound technicians were doing a rather poor job.
I must apologise, as I am not much of a note-taker for the Exact set list, but the show was brilliant, especially for the number of long-time devoted fans who were in the queue as early as 12noon earlier in the day (Myself included).
WELLER's performance was once again stellar, full of high energy, especially with songs like Peacock Suit, Come On, Let's Go, The Changingman and The Walk On Guided Splinters medley. The show started off quite relaxed with PAUL and his Gibson. A very unique version (Rock and Roll, baby!) of Speak Like A Child was played and the crowd seemed to be quite pleased, although an audience that was not very loud or as riotous as I was hoping. The band loves to draw off of the energy of the audience and tonight, we had wished for a more lively crowd. Perhaps, it was from the wonderful California weather that brought a "relaxed" low-key vibe to the show.
WELLER and his band are the best band in the world in live performance today. No one comes close to the sound, a sound truly there own, that's been developed since the early 90's.
Looking forward to tonight!!!

WELLER, WELLER, WELLER!!!
