Subject: MINI 50TH FESTIVAL

Motor fans amongst you will probably know that the iconic Mini celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and the occasion is being marked with a special MINI United festival at Silverstone on 22-24 May.

As part of the festival there will be musical entertainment with live sets on Friday and Saturday night. The Modfather himself, Mr Weller, will be headlining on the Saturday night (23rd). Support will come in the form of Twisted Wheel, who have previously supported the likes of Paul, Oasis, Kasabian and The Enemy.

It's fitting that Paul, who is so closely identified with UK Mod Culture and a clear British icon himself, provides the musical climax to this event to celebrate another British icon with sixties/mod connotations. Those of a certain generation will always have a soft spot for the Mini, thanks to the likes of the iconic sixties classic 'The Italian Job'. Sharp suits, sharp driving, sharp lines and Michael Caine. Perfect.

This will be the largest ever MINI fan event, attracting fans from all over the world travelling in their own cars enjoying a programme that offers a wide range of activities including racing, classic Mini's, stuff for the kids, as well as the music. You can find out more, including how to reserve tickets, by clicking here.

Cheers
