Yes I wrote Holly, not Holy, Frank doesn't respond to religion, but when it comes to chicks....

Yes, of course the Tea Party is a bunch of wild lunatics, ready to blow up buildings and kill anyone in their way.
That's what it says on TV, so it must be true.
Dissent means anarchy.
Obey.
That's another Shepard Fairey poster.
Along with Hope.
Hope and Obey.
Obay and Hope.
But mostly Obey.
I'll stick with dissent.

The T.V. just exposes the image one represents, it
doesn't make up the image contained within, that's Glenn Becks' job. Most of what i think is wrong
with the "Tea Party", comes right from their own mouths, and has nothing to do with any media, or it's pundits.
If they are to be taken seriously as viable third party, they need to reign in the Sarah Palins' of the world, and
come across with something that resembles reasonability.
Less rhetoric, and more with the substance.
I would Love to have a third party, that could make sense
out of Washington, that's an independent voters wet dream.
But the reality is, the Tea Party is a fragmented bunch of
disillusioned former Bush supporters, who couldn't believe they were so wrong about there own guy, and are grasping at outdated political concepts, held over from cold war era America.
If you fight progress, it's because you are against
evolution, evolution brings revolution, change with the times, or be left behind.

Re: OH JESUS! Wait... they own him too. -- John MacLuau, 12:58:36 04/05/10 Mon
Uh... Mike, no, don't help me here.
I am very close to a Tea Partier. He believes what he hears on TV that is why he's so fanatical. I think dissent is GOOD. I agree with Frank that you can't just hand the government to any one group and say "OK, now we'll be fine, 'cause OUR GUY is in charge now" Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. [oh christ, see what this has devolved to, I'm quoting Pete Townsend]
My friend is a well meaning person. He loves his kid and believes in freedom and equality. But he is a product of television. He believed the Y2K apocalyptic predictions. And sockpiled food and water while he waited for the inevitable. He believed that vaccines were responsible for autism and refused to immunize his child for measles , mumps and rubella. In fact I would go as far as to say that every time someone in the media makes a claim, based on corollary data that is poorly supported, he takes the position that indicates his fear of being manipulated by "the government" not realizing that he is in fact being manipulated by the media. The same media he calls 'liberal' and biased. I find that to be ironic, in the true sense of the word. And it is simply his ignorance that makes him the dupe of those he most fears being duped by.
So, for those of you who are stupid, read this and explain to me in rational language what is bad about being liberal:
liberal |ˈlib(ə)rəl|
adjective
1 open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values : they have more liberal views toward marriage and divorce than some people.
¥ favorable to or respectful of individual rights and freedoms
¥ (in a political context) favoring maximum individual liberty in political and social reform
2 [ attrib. ] (of education) concerned mainly with broadening a person's general knowledge and experience, rather than with technical or professional training.

I wasn't trying to help you, just making a
point, if it helped you in the process, than
I apologize, the last thing I want is to be accused
of helping anyone on here, god forbid.
I'll go back to my usual none funny attempts at
sophomoric humor, and leave all the important
topics to those who understand all the big words,
is that better john?
