I think Frank is entitled to vote for any dumbass he wants to. And don't assume I mean Scott Brown, cause I don't. But I am scared at the way officials get elected, that is to say the methods by which they actually reach office. I like governor Terminator of Cal-i-fornia, he is the kind of republican I can get behind. Scott Brown is a blank page, we'll just have to see what he'll do.

But I object to the use of the term 'the Populist Party' as the support behind 'popular' politicians like Sarah Palin and Scott Brown. The populist party were people like Artie and Frank and Brian. Ordinary working citizens and farmers, the average guy. And I'm talking about you politically and not addressing your individual creative talents, of course; which are considerable. But the idea was to take the power away from the greedy industrialist and Bankers [in your personal creative struggles, that would be Bonnie] and put it in the hands of the people for a freer and more equitable exchange of commerce, and therefore greater prosperity overall.

But the greatest power affecting how legislation is created now is corporate money. That's not all bad. Corporate america has built the stuff everyone just takes for granted as their right as an American, god bless us, everyone. So corporations have a lot to be thanked for. But they don't care about lives. Corporations are run like mathematical formulas now. Individual people and lives aren't driving their choices. Except for the few at the very top, who want as little interference from imposed regulation as possible.

Can you believe the gall of those people who got mesothelioma to expect Asbestos Partners Inc LLC to pay for their surgical and pharmaceutical bills? Anyway, you have to have laws to prevent the most egregious failures of corporations lack of humanity. And with laws you get stupid stuff like laws to force people from their shabby homes so you can build a shiny new mall, yeah! eminent domain rules! take that subsistence cretins! A McDonalds on every corner. So the point I'm getting at is we need both. Both parties. Keeping each other in check. But I am a bigot. I am a real bigot against stupidity. Not in the sense of developmentally disabled or ignorant. I'm not thinking of you, Mike. But the kind of stupidity like you get during the Joseph McCarthy era. The 'I was only following orders' mentality of Nazi Germany. That kind of stupidity. And I see a lot of finger point and Blame throwing, but little real governance. And I see the two parties in Washington pandering to their constituents, it makes them ALL seem ineffectual. And I see an environment, ripe for the kind of hatred that separates people, to thrive.

Which brings me back to this board.

Good job.

The hate is strong.

Sorry about the rant. Good wine leads to good whine.
