The Brooklyn Brawler, the lowest ranked jobber with a gimmick back in the day. The WWE is in dire need of people who will show of the skills of new/current wrestlers without instantly being in the hot-potato-title-hunt for having a pulse. Remember the days of Rick Martel, and to a lesser extent Tito Santana and Hacksaw Jim Duggan? These people gave entertaining matches and jobbing yes, but not to the extent of unbelievably! And they didn't hold the world title 1-3 times. Think of the jobber's now... Stinsky? He’s HUGE but worthless, or The Hurricane, but he's just too tiny and is a baby face. EVERYONE has had a PUSH at some point or another because the WWE is desperate to see what sticks to the audience.
Well anyways, one of the BEST gimmicks with the Brawler was when The Rock was deemed BOTTOM rung for the world title hunt; Vince gave him a match to next-peg-up wrestler The Brooklyn Brawler! That was one of the most excellently funny ideas in a long time, throwing hardcore fans a bone for even knowing who Brawler is and what he's done.
