2 shay my friend.....yes i do have to bow my head and say i did wore a parka from 79 till 81.....then like a dallas dream sequence....i woke up went back to my roots as the best band in the world was born....god gave us the exploited.........i still like 79 to 1982 revival music....bands like..the circles...the chords....the cigarettes....purple hearts........still 2 day are top tunes..........my point being was......paul weller and quad wernt and shouldnt be prayed at like mecca....and as for blokes my age in purple trousers and ice cream jackets is just wrong in any culture...lol............its the same as the northern soul dos....it makes me laugh.....i went to wigan 2 or 3 times in the 70s....and lacarno...central peir.......it was full of coucil kids on speed dancing to music all night......now ive been to a few recently.....and its all rare stuff no one knows....and gone very snobby......go and ask for casino classics and see how the dj looks at you.......yet at a rally [ rally soul ] as they call it you get a proper feel to how it was....yes before you say it all scenes must move forward but i feel the northern scene has lost its way from where it started...............lets hope this starts a debate on here....with points of view from people.......as i say this is just my opinion and not aimend at any one or any thing....but it would be intresting to see if any one agrees..............you will get the die hard that wont agree.........but thats what the scooter boy break away was all about in the early 80s we aint all the same we dont all like the same music..........and as for it started s a mod thing.....sorry know your history....it started in the 50s as touring clubs rallys and music culture......when did you last dance to chubby checker like they did......................lets see how it goes...........oh and thanx for dragging that skeleton out me cuboard for me....lol....fair play.......ride safe see ya all sunday
