Just want to put out a rallying call! (Excuse the pun!) Atherstone ride out May 17th has involved a lot of pain staking planning by myself, Jeff from the Coopers and Ray (now the Mayor of Atherstone - A top bloke.He was the guy that made us so welcome 2 years ago.) From meeting Council requirements of indemnity insurance, environmental impact assessments, H&S risk assessments, Fire risk assessment, road closures, notifying police, fire and ambulance. These been requirements due to having a band playing outside in the square. The Coopers C/O Jeff have willingly afforded their own time Free of Charge, Midscoots have coffed up £200 for indemnity insurance and i have personally laid out £150. Now i'm not after harps, or heart strings, or my money back as this i will personally lay out for Acorns. All i wish for is a great turn out, people to enjoy the day but more importantly people to come forward and give generously. ACORNS STAFF WILL BE OUT SUPPORTING US ON THE DAY, AS THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WILL ALSO BE INVOLVED. I KNOW WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF A CREDIT CRUNCH BUT PLEASE GIVE A LITTLE. Lets see if we can raise £2k between the scooter community and the local population. All proceeds for ACORNS. Kindest regards Simon Baker Former Chair of midscoots.
