Dave.
I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to you, and all at Midland Scooters for visiting the Children's unit at Heartlands Hospital today. The children were really looking forward to the visit, and I am glad to say that the weather was lovely so we were able to bring the children out in cots and beds.
Thank you to all who donated the Easter eggs. I don't think we have ever seen so many, so the children on the wards had an egg today and we shall give them out to the children who will be coming in from now right up until Easter Sunday. So, I think we shall see a lot of happy children. I think that chocolate will definitely help to make them feel better !!
Thank you to Carl and Lyn Timmins who donated 70 eggs from Burchers Builders merchants, to Sam and Sophie who donated 40 eggs from Virgin and thank you to all who raised the money to buy the badges. A big thank you to all the lovely guys who very kindly took the children and staff!! for a ride around the hospital, that was brilliant and feel sure that it's something the children will talk about for a long time.
I can honestly say that the scooters visit is definitely a highlight of the year and something that both staff and children all look forward to.
If anyone has photos could they possibly e mail them to me or put them on a disc so we can get them put them in the hospital magazine and so I could make a display in the playroom.
Anyway Dave, can you please make sure that everyone who is responsible for visiting us today knows that we are really grateful for the visit.
