The committee met earlier this week to decide upon the 2010 rideout dates, venues and event details as well as this year’s chosen charities that will benefit from all the generous donations made by all scooterist's attending the rideouts.
The 2010 events calendar promises to be a good mix of events with lots of diversity in terms of destinations etc after taking on board the need to branch out and cover the as many parts of the Midlands region as we can.
This year has events spread far and wide across the region, all rideouts will meet at the Usaual place (McDonalds near the BCFC ground) with the aim to leave at 11am apart from several events that are further afield so they will need to leave at 10am.
The two well deserved chosen charities for 2010 shall be Acorns Hospice and Troop Aid, both you will agree are very worthy causes so we all hope that you will see fit to dig deep and give what you can when you attend any of the rideouts.
Rideout Dates:
· March 21st: Easter Egg Run-2 Drops on the day to both Heartlands & George Elliott Hospital
· March 28th: VMSC Coventry (Vintage Motor Scooter Club)
· April 25th: St Georges Day March Stone Cross (West Brom-TBC)
· May 23rd: Leek Jesters "Scooterfest 6" at Leek town centre in North Staffordshire
· June 13th: Stratford Upon Avon (this will be a charity ride with as many donations as possible collected for Troop Aid)
· July 11th: Shrewsbury (Venue TBC)
· August 15th: Tenbury Wells Town Centre
· September 12th: Little Dean Jail Gloucester (home of amongst other things the Quadrophenia Exhibit).
· October 10th: National War Memorial Rideout @ Alrewas in Staffordshire
· November 7th: Remembrance Run to Readspeed Scooters Stourport via Selly Oak Hospital
· December 12th: Toy Run with donations split between Selly Oak & Walsall Hospitals
