  FeisPix has just uploaded to its website previously unpublished photos of individuals and groups who posed against our studio backdrop at the World Championships 2010 in Glasgow. They include montage/collage/composite photos ordered by customers at that time. For just £5 you can download a digital image, save it to your computer and print multiple 6"x4" copies for friends and relatives.   Since the beginning of the World Championships in Boston we have been experiencing heavy traffic problems on our FeisPix website. Please be aware that FeisPix were not at this great event. The official photographers were Shamrock Photography.

I am moving there this summer where my eight-year-old son would like to continue what he started this past year in Pennsylvania. He is a beginner who will compete in his first feis in March. • MHG Halloween Feis 2012 -- Only 3 days left........, 07:06:52 10/12/12 Fri
  The Mullane Healy Godley Academy of Irish Dance will be hosting the annual Halloween Feis, 2012 on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the McCook Athletic and Exposition Center, located in McCook, IL.
  
  The feis will open for entries on August 27, 2012, and entries will be accepted through October 15, 2012 via http://www.feisworx.com. There is a cap of 800 entries for all First Feis through Open Prizewinner dancers. For Preliminary and Open Championship competitions there is a cap of 300 dancers. In preparation of the Oireachtas 2012 all Preliminary and Open Championship dancers will dance all three rounds and be adjudicated by a total of nine adjudicators, the same adjudicating format employed by the Oireachtas.
  
  In memory of the late Ann Richens, who is sadly missed by so many in our region, we will be hosting the second annual Ann Richen's Memorial Treble Reel Competition at the Halloween Feis. The competition will combine all feis treble reel competitions into ONE, which will be held during the lunch break, and adjudicated by nine adjudicators. All dancers must wear a Halloween costume in order to partake, and the first place winner will be awarded $500. Please note all treble reel proceeds will be donated in Ann Richen’s name to the American Cancer Society.
  
  The host hotel is the Holiday Inn, Countryside. For the feis rate of $119.00 please call 708-354-4200 and quote Irish Dance. Reservations open 9/1/2012.
  
  Once again we have employed a very distinguished and varied panel of adjudicators and musicians:

• I have recently upgraded the FeisDresses.com website to help improve the site for its users. As always, the site is free to use to buy or sell your dresses, vests, accessories, etc. Here some of the changes: -- Rhonda at FeisDresses.com, 08:29:33 10/03/12 Wed
  I now have a section called “Featured Dresses” where these dresses will remain on the home page of the site – AND on the category pages. So these dresses will get maximum exposure on the site. There is a small charge for this feature, otherwise regular postings remain free.
  
  You can now edit your ad, directly from the ad page.
  
  You now have the ability to delete your own ads at any time, whether they are sold or whether you just want to remove the listing. You still have the ability to mark a dress as sold. Both capabilities are in there so you can use them how you wish. Just go to your “Dashboard” to manage your ads.
  
  You are now able to add up to four photos to each listing.

  We are at a NEW Venue this year, North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. This is a great facility located in the heart of Naperville, named one of the "most desirable places to live in the central United States" by Money Magazine. It is also very conveniently located near the expressway I-88 for an easy trip to downtown Chicago or to both Midway and O'Hare airports.
  
  Entry Deadline: October 20, 2012 or when entry caps are reached.

  The Mullane Healy Godley Academy of Irish Dance will be hosting the annual Halloween Feis, 2012 on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the McCook Athletic and Exposition Center, located in McCook, IL.
  
  The feis will open for entries on August 27, 2012, and entries will be accepted through October 15, 2012 via http://www.feisworx.com. There is a cap of 800 entries for all First Feis through Open Prizewinner dancers. For Preliminary and Open Championship competitions there is a cap of 300 dancers. In preparation of the Oireachtas 2012 all Preliminary and Open Championship dancers will dance all three rounds and be adjudicated by a total of nine adjudicators, the same adjudicating format employed by the Oireachtas.
  
  In memory of the late Ann Richens, who is sadly missed by so many in our region, we will be hosting the second annual Ann Richen's Memorial Treble Reel Competition at the Halloween Feis. The competition will combine all feis treble reel competitions into ONE, which will be held during the lunch break, and adjudicated by nine adjudicators. All dancers must wear a Halloween costume in order to partake, and the first place winner will be awarded $500. Please note all treble reel proceeds will be donated in Ann Richen’s name to the American Cancer Society.
  
  The host hotel is the Holiday Inn, Countryside. For the feis rate of $119.00 please call 708-354-4200 and quote Irish Dance. Reservations open 9/1/2012.

• Devasted and Need Everyone’s Help Please!!!!! Lost my Blackberry in Chicago at Nans. It had irreplaceable pictures, videos and recordings on it of my mom just before she passed away. -- A Desperate ECR Mom, 08:03:03 07/10/12 Tue
  
  Whenever I’m sad and miss her, which is every single day, I watch the video of her telling a joke in the hospital and it makes me feel she’s still here with me and reminds me of how much love and laughter she brought to our lives. There’s also photos of her (and ones of the rest of my family) including her last Thanksgiving dinner, ones of her in the hospital, one of her smiling after getting some hopeful news… These precious photos and video have provided so much comfort that I am devasted thinking I may never see them again. There’s also a voice recording of her singing Happy Birthday, something she did with every child and grandchild on their birthday. I had also downloaded all the important saved voicemails from my landline. Plus there’s so many other precious pictures and photos of my dad, my children, my hubby, footage of my mom’s beautiful gardens, my son winning a cross country race, there’s just so much on that phone…..in addition to all the contact info for friends, family, doctors etc. and all the reminders for future family appointments. I know I should have downloaded all this but I was petrified I’d do something wrong and lose everything so had wanted to get professional assistance to do it properly.
  
  The phone was lost Saturday July 7th between 5 pm and 6:45 pm either in the Sheraton Ballrooms A, B or C (most probably B as I was there most of the time but I was in A too) or just outside these 3 ballrooms. My blackberry is all black shiny plastic (I think it’s a newer version of the Bold), is bare without any protective cover and the battery was low so it most likely ran out that day. There may have been some residual moisture in the phone from exposure a few days earlier so if you’ve found one that doesn’t charge, (please forgive me for asking this) if you could kindly try removing the battery from the phone and then place it with the phone separate in dry rice for several hours or even a day and then try charging it. When it reboots it says “Rogers” first and then opens to a screen with a photo of my mom, short reddish/blonde hair and wearing glasses sitting on a bench seat.
  
  I’m certain my phone was not stolen but that it accidentally may have fallen into a purse, dress bag or the like as I walked passed it or that I left it on a chair beside me as I watched the dancing and when I rushed off to see a dancer in another room, someone saw it sitting there and mistook it for their own. I hate to inconvenience anyone but the content of this phone is so precious and irreplaceable if you could please just take a moment to check shoe bags, costume bags, purses – anything you and your children or visiting relatives and friends may have had with you/them in the Sheraton Ballrooms that day. Please tell you’re children about this and if you could please ask them to tell their dance friends too and if you could please share it with all dance parents from your school. I’m hopeful that the more people that know then the better the chances of recovering it. For those who may suggest this, please be assured I tried calling it that night and many times since but it goes straight to voicemail, and that I left my contact details with everyone possible at the Sheraton and even at the Hyatt and I have a huge team of people praying to St. Anthony so I’m hopeful it’ll be found. Please feel free to join in the praying, the more the better. It’s my birthday this Friday the 13th and I had so hoped to listen to the blackberry recording of mom singing Happy Birthday.
  
  I want to send a big thank you to Tim O’Hare for announcing my lost blackberry several times at the Saturday awards and the enthusiastic and swift responses from everyone, especially the little girl who immediately rushed over to tell Tim about a found blackberry. Unfortunately, that blackberry was not mine; although it looked very similar, it did not have my mom’s beautiful face in the opening screen. Perhaps the person who owns that blackberry mistakenly has mine.
  
  A heartfelt thank you to all of you for taking the time to read this incredibly lengthy post and for any and all efforts you’re able to make to help me find my phone.

• Hi, this is off topic forgive me. My son is applying to three colleges in North America to study next year on exchange from Australia. One of the colleges is California College of the Arts Oakland. Has anyone had any experience with this college? -- Aussie Mum, 22:16:17 06/24/12 Sun
  Do they board students, is it a safe area to live. Having not had a child/student live away from home (especially on foreign shores) can I draw from the experience of other dance mums who have especially about what I should be looking for to make his experience a positive one.   Beautiful Gavin Doherty Dress for sale. Made for the British Nationals approx 9 months old. This dress is white with a beautiful white skirt that has tiny white roses all over it. The roses are in a kind of 3D design, making the skirt quite unique. To enhance the design of the roses on the skirt a crystal has been placed in the center of each rose, which twinkle when on stage. A range of Swarovski crystals including the large pear shaped crystals were added by the lady at Gavin’s workshop, at a cost of £350 pounds. This dress has a flower theme with Gold flowers appliquéd on to it. The flowers are outlined with Brown embroidery, ant the other parts are completed with an orange and dark yellow embroidery. Making it a very beautiful dress and very stage effective. The sleeves on this dress tie at the wrist with velcro and a small flower appliqué on each cuff. This dress also comes with a matching hair flower in the exact same appliqué design as in on the cuffs. As well as an a headband with swarovski crystals. The asking price is £850 plus shipping from London in the UK. All overseas sales are final due to the time and expense of shipping from the UK.   I would like to introduce the launch of my new website www.irishdancingdress.com for dancers who need an easy and quick way to sell your Irish dancing dresses.
  
  I am a mother of three girls and I know the high cost of dancing in competitions. I needed a cheap and easy way to sell my Irish dancing dress each year and found all the other websites too confusing. I could not find any website that specialised in selling dresses that was cost effective. So I did what all good people do in recessionary times, they build their own!
  
  I aim to keep the cost of the listing to an absolute minimum so that it is accessible to everyone.

  The Midwest Fleadh Cheoil is an Irish arts (music, dance, song, and language) competition held annually. It is the qualifying competition for the Comhaltas All Ireland Championships.
  
  Dance competitions at the Fleadh include full and half set and ceili dances for all age groups.
  
  This year, the Fleadh is being held in Chicago on April 13-15. The weekend will not only feature competitions, but social dancing, workshops, and performances as well!

  Our digital images enable viewers to buy photos online, or to download for just £4.00 each. Remember, if you choose to download an image you will automatically be sent a download link that enables you to save the image to your computer and to adjust it as you wish. These images are copyright-free enabling you to print multiple copies at home or using third party printing agencies. But please bear in mind that our terms and conditions refer to personal use of images and do not permit publication in print or electronic media such as magazines or websites.
  And now the bad news! Because of the increasing costs of maintaining our USA-based website, containing in excess of 130,000 Irish dancing images (probably the largest in the world), the cost of image download will increase to £5.00 (about US $7.50) from 30 March 2012…….s Sorry!

  The Vanishing Lake, winning entrant of the Marie Duffy Foundation Excellence Award In Irish Dance Music Composition, will be added to the Official List of Set Dances (An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha) on 1st June 2012. It is now available on

  at all speeds on CD, and as a digital download. There is also a free preview of the set dance on the website.
  
  Francis will be at the All Ireland Irish Dance Championships and the CD will be launched there next week.
  
  The tune will also be featured at the All Ireland Championships on Saturday in the Marie Duffy Foundation New Musical Composition – Performance of Choreography.

  ADAGIO DANCE FLOOR
  
  Is highly portable vinyl floor is excellent for situations where a permanent dance floor cannot be installed. Dance Floor is lightweight (less than 2 pounds per linear foot, 255 pounds per roll) and flexible, so it can be rolled and unrolled as needed. This makes the floor ideal for situations such as touring dance companies, and theatres without a permanent dance floor. The matte non-skid finish provides the control dancers
  require. Dance Floor is reversible with black on one side and grey on the other.
  
  The most critical factor in choosing a floor is how it feels to the people who will use it. Most dancers and teachers can determine this from a hand-held sample (available at no charge). A small sample can also provide a good idea of the qualities of the vinyl surface.
  
  The flooring can be cut to any size and costs just £26 per linear meter.
  
  We also offer a next day delivery service with the flooring.

Daughter doesn't like the fit, she has always worn Fay's and prefers Fay's. Paid 160.00 plus 10.00 s/h.
