Subject: Universal Miss & Master International ??
Need info on this system just received the paperwork and it sounds like a lot of chances to win and the entry fees are less than some of the other pageant systems I have requested info on. It says all awards given on stage. Has anybody done this system? If so can I get some feedback. Deadline for entry is coming up soon, but I would like to hear some opinions from someone who has done this pageant before. Please reply. Thanks

We have done the state pageant and mini nationals and it rocks! (We are not BIG winners)
The director, Nicole, is awesome and answers email promptly.
A GREAT value for the entry fee. Crowns are always breathtaking.

We have done prelims, state and mini nationals with Nicole as the director. She is awesome, no one walks away without a crown, if you have a young child that is always a good thing. She is a wonderful person and you can tell she really cares about the kids.
Nationals-We have only been once so I dont know LaGlenda very well, she does her best to be very polite to everyone and very helpful. I dont see a lot of conflict of interests at her pageant which is really important in a national system. There are tons of awards in many different areas of competition which gives you more chances at winning.
Both directors pageants are more of a complete package, clothes-hair and make up-smile-style-talent, so make sure you pay close attention to details.
You would be wise to email the directors of these two pageants and ask them if you can purchase a copy of last years pageant, that will give you an idea of what they are looking for. When you go you will find some of the best of the best for those levels competing against you or your child, so make sure you practice.

UMMI is a great National Pageant with kids (boys & girls) from all over -even Jamica. Kids from all different coaches. NO clothes score but "over all impression" so make sure the clothes fit & the color is complementary to the child. Winning in your age division is a good win. Excellent competition. Great to watch too. It is really one of the very best & has been around for over 10 years.

Re: Universal Miss & Master International - This is the most honest pageant system out there, judges are brought in from all over, no COI at UMMI, no trades made here. All prizes are awarded on stage. Lowest entry fees for the amount of prizes offered ,this year 12 Mini Grand Supremes get $1000 Bond besides all the other higher paying Supreme Titles. Many chances to win. If you plan on going reserve your room at the Texas Station for special rate deadline is June 18 and the Hotel is sold out and their regular rate is much higher. By the way the Director is always available if you have any questions and this pageant has been in business over 15 years. we fly. I really hate flying, I am sit and clench the seat and my family always trys to get me to get pills from my doc to relax me (I never do). If you look around you may be able to find some good prices. We are from Washington and got our tickets for around 130.00 this year. I know that some friends of ours drove down last year and while it took them a lot longer the cost was probably less and they had a great time, we dont want to use our vacation time from work to do that. I guess it depends on the amount of time you have, the dependability of your car and how you feel about flying.

Is the hotel sold out? When we call to make our reservations the guy we talked to told us that was the regular rate (hope they didnt tell LaGlenda it was a special deal) but that they may raise the rates for the weekend due to the high demand.
