mata itu,entah bila pertama kali aku melihatnya
dan kini mata itu telah kian menjauh dan hilang
di bawa angin ke ribuan ratusan batu jauhnya

dulu mata itulah
yang merenung ombak dan merenung deritanya dan bangsanya
mata itulah yang menangis mencari sesuap nasi di tanah ini
kerana kesempitan hidup di dunia seberang

mata itulah yang mendodoi anak kecil
yang memakai lampin anak kecil
anak kecil wargaku yang kian sibuk mencari rezeki

mata itu sudah puas menangis
dan tangisannya sudah habis kerana deritanya tetap berpanjangan

mata itu pernah melihat penguatkuasa mengejar rakan-rakannya kerana masuk ke sini tanpa sah.
dan kini mata itu sudah tiada
dan dia menemui yang hak.
