Holy cow I couldn't believe it. We beat the team ranked #1 by SI and Dick Vitale by a mile. I wasn't really that close at all and 11 points is misleading.

Nieson played a great game and really got under their skin it seemed even when we were down 20-9 early I think he had 8 of our points. Having 2 senior guards really helped. Neither Bailey or Perkins played great but solid. The whole team played good defense.

Angley had some bad turnovers but really was the wildcard out there and was very cool for a kid playing Red Bluff high school ball last year. This is an unfair comparison but he reminded me of Nash as a freshman at times tonight with flashes of brilliance and a lot of composure broken up at times by clean picks by the other teams point guard.

McCants had some points was no best-player-in-the-country BS tonight. Niesen was far better. Articles on the internet (AP, espn, etc.) mention that their PG was out but not that we were without 2 likely starters in Denison and Rohe.

Overall our defense was just really good and watching the USF/Stanford game after that 2nd game seemed played at a much much lower level. The way we played tonight vs. the way they played we would have beat either of them easy too.

Go Broncos!!!

Great description of the game, gobroncs. From what you saw do you (or anyone else who was there) think we can sustain the intensity for the season? The effort had to be considerable-- even Seandel sounded positive in the radio post game, and every article I've read spoke glowingly about the Bronco intensity. I'm sure I'm not being rational right now, but if they can-- maybe we'll do some dancin' in March. Go Broncos---- let's get Pacific now!

Change your eyewear prescription buddy! What do you mean "Neither Bailey or Perkins played great
>but solid." These guys showed tremendous discipline and leadership the entire game! It's clear you were lookin' the other way when Kyle scored 3 back-to-back 3's to boost the Broncos lead to 12 at a critical time. Or, what about when Doron flipped Kyle's blocked shot over his head into the basket. And their shot selection showed great patience. The defense played by these guys and Ethan was stellar. If you were courtside like "eye" was, you would have seen Kyle, Doron, and Ethan's outstanding performance!

Go Broncos!
