Fourth-seeded East Bay knocked off second-seeded Bay Pride 82-74 Thursday night in the San Francisco ProCity semifinals at Kezar Pavilion.

thanks again Dent for the postings ... don't get the Chronicle or always check out the website ..

interesting that BJ was not mentioned on Bay Pride ... so perhaps he was not there ???? (any one lurking that's been to Kezar please post ... no sign-up necessary to post)

also notice that East Bay's roster includes:
Linden Tibbets 6-8 Santa Clara
Brody Amgley 5-11 Santa Clara

note to Pro City Stat/Web folks: that's Brody Angley ...

also saw Okey's name on Bay Pride ... would have liked to get the the city for at least a couple of those games ...

[> [> [> Re: the Khalid-El Amin show -- Bronco66, 10:38:48 08/07/04 Sat

I love it!!! ( not the Khalid-El Amin show but getting some more info on Mr. Henke ) ... Thanks again dent! this internet stuff is the best thing that ever happend to "right-time" (as apposed to "BIG" time) college sports ...

what I found most interesting from Dent's links was the "lack" of mention about Mitch ... except for that opening Dunk off a (probably rare) Khalid-El Amin assist and a "Critical Jumper" not much about him specifically ... and my understanding is that these "summer leagues" are more about NBA-style man-to-man beat you contest rather than "team" play

my guess (hope) is that Mitch is a true team play who will shine and flourish in the DD style of team basketball ...

any thoughts???

( thanks for the links )

He is the only pure "3" on the roster, comes from a good HS program, can shoot, rebound and is smart. If he is a legit 6'7" and 205 lbs., he should be strong enough to compete. the earlier he gets involved in the rotation, the better the Broncos will be next year come conference and tourney time.

[> [> FAN-tastic Article -- Bronco66, 19:24:25 08/06/04 Fri

A great article ... and great insight into what sounds like a great young man (at risk of sounding like a Fan of another BB Board ... Real Bronco Material). I especially like the part about him zoning in on BJ's advice. That little summer league gig will probably payoff big time this Winter.

Good Luck to Mr. Perkins and all the Broncos ...

ps/ nice assist JCard on finding the article ... a very well written piece ... no by-line but a link does appear under DLew's picture on the MBK page (but not on his page) .. whoever did it I hope they do more and it get wide distribution ....

GO Broncs !!!
