the article is about 2 players currently recruited by University of New Mexico and how the student fans are helping out in the recruiting process. the second recruit, Michael Roll, mentions that Santa Clara has sent an offer to him. see link below....

actually it seems the the "RedMenace" is more "Raider Nation"/"Black Hole" than "Rough Riders"

the Red Menace, a group of wig-wearing, face-painting, megaphone-wielding Lobo crazies ... that have turned the north end zone bleachers into a weekly pigskin party

One of their leaders said the group plans to do its part in helping these recruits feel welcome.

"Whenever it's time to help out Lobo basketball, the Red Menace will be there," said Lee Roy Lucero, one of the group's founding members.
