Ive read a lot of points here, from both sides, and they are all important, its important to know everyones view. Even the extreme ones. They didnt arrive at these standpoints out of nothing, the american soldier who gloats about killing and using prostitutes to the extreme islam person who cries death to all Christians. Here's the one thing that really bothers me - the mistreatment of women and classing of them as second class citizens?!?! Sorry, but it is this sticking point that will always cause me to look at the muslim faith and islam as something that is satanic, bad, demonized, what else can you call it? It is disgusting that this is accepted and you hear leaders of islamic countries come out and say things like "women should not be driving cars" What?!?!?! Are you lot serious? I dont know near enough to be talking about all this, I dont know enough about my own religion (Catholic Christian) nevermind about Islam. I dont practice as a catholic, I dont like the way it is run from Rome, but I do fear my maker or creator and if its all untrue, and we are all just a product of science etc, then its far better to live a peaceful life and respectful of every life, both human and animal than one that involves killing and raping and robbing etc... But please, Muslims, explain to me this mistreatment of women, how can you accept it, the human race would be nothing without women, or men. They say in the Celtic empire (one fo the frist rulers of europe) that women were not put up or shut up and they held high places in society, yes even back then. Just how can it be accepted that women have to live this horrible life and have no rights and be treated like complete shit, well i say NO. The world will not stand by and allow this to happen. Even here in Ireland it has started a long time ago, refugees and muslims raping women and a down syndrome woman also. Getting crosses taken down from junior schools and nativity scenes and statues taken away as it offensive?! NO NO NO. Women are beautiful, they are complicated and mysterious but guess what, they are life, and there is no life without them. You wont be forcing your religious views down our throats. It wont wash and there will be a severe backlash in the western world. The normal muslim people need to realise that this is your problem too, you need to do more than just stand by saying "im a peaceful muslim" But please explain to me the mistreatment of women, why its accpeted so much and does the koran teach this? Does Muhammad officially teach this? If its true, then i will never befriend a muslim, i will never help a muslim and i will never allow them to become more than a minority in my country, if this is the teachings on how to treat women, then the whole muslim religion is extreme, terrorist and very sinister.....
