Subject: Um...am I losing it?

So, I decided to make a bold statement as a proactive voting American...my first as of this 2004 election. Out of sheer curiosity (...and a touch of shame) I watched the Democratic debate from Greenville, SC.
Now, call me crazy, mental, stupid or better yet a crackhead for thinking (gulp!) that Reverend Al Sharpton looked like the most intelligent candidate on the stage. Is it just that the other hopefuls are this bad? Or did he actually make sense?
I have always thought of Al Sharpton as an angry racist maniac. I think the media has (not like they do anyways) clouded Americans interpretation of him. What I saw was a man that has a clear understanding of the issues (even though I disagree with his stance on NAFTA) and a cocky swagger that gives him real credibility. If I continue to see these qualities as he prepares for Primaries I will force myself to vote for him. It may just as well be a wasted vote...but I must say he has the ability to win over confused voters (like myself!). It is safe to say Al Sharpton will not win the Democratic canidacy in NYC. But... Think there is any chance of a Kerry/Sharpton, Edwards/Sharpton ticket?
