Ok, so other then Celine Dion royally sucking, Evanescense (however you spell that stupid name) winning, and Justin Timberlake and 50 Cent trying to sneak in on everyone's performance what really sucked this year about the grammys??? Hmmm Well the biggie for me this year was the totaly bullshit service announcement for downloading music. First of all, they have the nerve of giving this speach about the arts in public schools and how our children need it (so we all agree on this right?) well once they have you listening they start talking about mp3 downloads almost like they are trying to say something like "If you download music you are going to take music away from children". So this guy ends his speach for "The Academy" and says "Lets watch our new public service announcement" and so they roll the tape. (now this is when the "shit hits the fan")

During the "service announcement" there are all these teens in designer clothing dancing in a hip new club with a catchy dance song. Meanwhile a girl is downloading the song on her Ibook and wating for the download bar to reach 100%. Well the download bar finaly gets to the not so long awaited 100% (she must have had a T-1 connection) and what happens??? Well the screen pops back to the club where the music suddenly stops and the lights go out (power failure??) and everyone gets this sad look on their face.

It makes me want to puke.

And Linda Perry should have won fucking best song writer!!!!!!!! Damn the grammys suck.
