In the hallway of the hotel's 6th floor two large thugs, dressed in black pinstripe business suits and red ties drag a kicking and screaming Shelly who has her makeup smeared all over her face from crying. These men knock on a door. Poindexter stands there as it opens. He steps aside and the two men drag Shelly St. James into the room. One of the men covers her mouth as her fighting turns to fear and panic. Poindexter gets right into her face.
POINDEXTER: Now you are going to be a good girl or I'll have these men do things to your precious little self that hasn't been seen since the days of the crusades, sweetheart. Understand? Poindexter runs his hand along her cheek and Shelly tries to scream but her mouth is covered and it comes out muffled. Poindexter produces a pocket knife and puts it to her throat. POINDEXTER: Do you...Understand? Shelly shakes her head, 'yes'. The two men throw her down into the chair behind her and to ensure she's stays put they both grab a wrist and pin her into the chair. The one man who had his hand over her mouth keeps it there. WOMAN'S VOICE: Enough of this! Shelly's divert to the dark corner where sits a silhouette. Shelly looks down and sees the hem of the edge of a skirt and two long legs crossed in black fishnet stockings poking into the light, with two heeled boots on the feet of this shadow. One of the thugs releases his hand from off Shelly's mouth she sits petrified. The men release their grips onto her wrists. Shelly is mesmerized by this shadow. The shadow's hand comes into the light as long red painted fingernails grasp around a shiny silver object. It's not until she sees the flame come from this object that she realizes it's a lighter. This lighter lights the end of a cigarette and the cherry lights up allowing Shelly to see these big eyes staring back at her. Suddenly the body of this shadow creeps forward and her face slowly is revealed into the light. As Shelly sees this woman she is taken back nearly pushing herself over in the chair and falling back into the ground. Shelly is even more terrified. WOMAN'S VOICE: Hello Shelly dear, miss me? I know this all so hard to swallow but you see I want to help I want to bring the LWA back to the good ole days. None of this OWF-LWA merger garbage. It's all a ploy and one that hasn't worked at all. That will all change and your boss, your brother in law, your close friend, maybe too close, aye dear. The woman stands up and wanders over to Shelly and bends down, putting her nose in Shelly's lap and taking a deep whiff as she moves her nose up along the seam of her body and onto her neck. WOMAN: Oh yes, I can smell it on you. The two of you have gotten real close. I wonder how is dead wife would feel about that. Who cares right, after all she is under six feet of dirt. (laughs) Well I suggest if you don't want to end up the same you drop that loser as fast as you can run out this door. Or just tell us where he is and we'll make sure to tell him for you, it's over. SHELLY: You bitch, he's on to you. I don't know if you got the show or not but he had a nice Public Service Announcement. He's smarter than you'll ever be, both of you (turning to Poindexter) and he's got friends in low places too. WOMAN: Oh listen Punky Brewster, his friends, which of course we both know he has none, all those years of being the pre-madonna, overdemanding, got to be number one days has got him nothing but resentment in the locker room and I can tell you the people we have spoken to are lining up to get their kicks in! SHELLY: What do you want? Why are you doing this, he's paid his debt to society. WOMAN: Correction! I paid, he's free because of me, and the state was ready to let him rot inside that hole. How does he repay me? All he had to do was end one man's career, he had the perfect opportunity and he let him go. All those years of claiming to be bad and tough, he's nothing but a washed up, old man who thinks with his heart instead of his head. He loves this garbage business. He cherishes its tradition and memory. What a crock. He used to be about money and power, oh how I wish I could have freed that man. No matter he's done and I suggest you go run to him and tell him he can't fight, talk some sense into him, he can leave one of two ways from this business. He can walk away and the two of you can live your lives happily ever after or he be carried away and he and his wife can live their eternity together. Of course you'll be out of the picture then. Shelly jumps up and runs out of the room. Poindexter looks to reach for her and grab her but the woman grabs him and pulls him back. Letting Shelly run out. WOMAN: He's smarter than me, right. Look what she's doing, leading us right to him. (turns to the men in suits)Go follow the tramp. Bring both of them back to me. The men shakes their heads in understanding and run out after Shelly. The woman goes back to her corner and sits down, taking a puff of her cigarette. WOMAN: Go talk to our man. POINDEXTER: He's not going to work for us. WOMAN: Maybe so but we are both after the same thing and if we can deliver it to him it just as good as if he worked for us. POINDEXTER: You sure this is the way to go, we can finish this ourselves. WOMAN: No we can't. You don't know this man like I do, He is unbelievably tough, even at this time in his life, maybe even more so. He is also very cunning and just when you think you have him defeated, he finds a way to turn the tables but he has been running from the one thing he can't fight. The man who is darker than we could ever be. This man will finish him or he won't stop until he does. It's one thing both haven't done in their careers, finished each other. So we will help it to get started. The woman puts up her feet on the chair and takes a long drag, turning her head towards the window. WOMAN: Oh daddy if you had just trusted me enough. The woman takes a long drag from her cigarette and crash of thunder and lighting strikes in the background.
