Hi Gordon,,
Just seeing this now, sorry for the delay. In my haste in writing the original, the birth of John Sr should have been 1771 as the census in 1871 had him as 100 years old. Also we had been told that John Jr had been born 1805. The 1871 census calculations would make him born 1808 instead. My bad spelling, Mapam should have been Massam

gravestone for John Jr. indicated he was born 1805, County Crosby, Lancashire England. No grave for John Sr. He was first made aware to me by seeing the 1871 Census for Quebec.
