Subject: Gilbertson family research

First, thanks for a wonderful website ! I am struggling with family research...my great grandmother was Susannah Alice Gilbertson born 12.8.1842 regd at Low Hill,Liverpool.
She married John Richard Smith in 1861. Susannah had a twin brother James Gilbertson; at age 8 in the 1851 Census they were both in Toxteth - their parents were Thomas (born 1813)and Alice (nee Travis) Gilbertson, who married in 1830 in Liverpool. Thomas had twin sisters Mary and Ellen, born 1818, and the family are from Ince Blundell. Any help in tracing my family tree further would be much appreciated.
I live locally and will be off to Crosby library but maybe someone can save me a few hours !
