I am decended from a few of the families found in the 1851 Little Crosby Census. I have traced back to Thomas (c.1765-1819) and Ann Halewood (c.1762-1835) who were the parents of Ann (1808), and Thomas (1811) (we are not sure if this is the correct line for Thomas)this is the husband of Isabella who went on to have the children Ann and Thomas. Ann married Richard Formby and went on to have Catherine Formby (who married George Lovelady) and siblings.

Ann of 1808 (sister of Thomas) married a Thomas Fairclough in 1829 and they had the son George Fairclough who married a Jane Orme. In 1879 they had Elizabeth Fairclough, who is my Great Grandmother.

I know you sent your original post a few years ago now, but I would be really interested to expand on the information I have found. I am particularly interested in finding more information about Jane Orme who was born in Great Crosby around 1946 and was living in Little Crosby Rd at the time of the 1881 census.

Looking forward to hearing something exiciting soon! :) Please feel free to either reply to this post or to email me directly.

Susan Barker
