Are the Owsleys Roman Catholic or Protestant? I haven't come across the name in any of the RC records, so if they were protestant they may be buried in the cemetary near the centre of Great Crosby. At Crosby Library there have the records for baptisms 1749-1861 at St luke's/Crosby Chapel CE. Alsp the index to headstones in St Luke's graveyard.

Also St Peter & St Paul's RC
baptisms 1826-1855
marriages 1827-1941
burials 1826-1849 (incomplete)

The staff at the library are very helpful.

If you know actual date of death you can get copies of certificates from the Registry Office.

Bye
Alison
