 Vance gulped, but nodded almost imperceptibly at Tristan. Oh no, oh no oh no oh no.. he thought. What in the world can I do by mysel.. He suddely looked around for Jack. Not finding him, his eyes widen in fear and his knees start to shake. Not now, Vance, he thought to himself, this is not the time to get cold feet, Tristan is counting on you, if you mess up, it's all over.

Vance pulled his hands in under the robe and deftly took out book and pen. He extricated himself away from the crowd and headed the opposite direction that Tristan went. His pen poised over the paper, he suddenly had some inspiration. He wrote furiously and just as suddenly, a large anvil appeared over the group of robed people and fell onto a few of them, probably squishing them. "Score!" Vance whispered, not wanting to give away his position so soon in the game.
