Vance, having regained most of his courtly composure, let Redd try and conjure a shirt for Vegita, then turned and looked down at Tetsuo. "Ah, my dear boy," he said, patting him on the head, "if the town were a seething mass of enemy rapscallions, you would have been marvelous!" Vance gave a fancy flourish with his arm, but then looked back down at Tetsuo, just realizing that the boy didn't remember a thing about what happened. "Oh, dear..well..I suppose that really wasn't the right thing to say, was it?.." He sat down, to be on more of a level with the boy. "Well, truth be told, you turned into a giant ape creature, and, in a senseless, mindless lust for destruction, destroyed half the town as we, uh..they tried to turn you back to normal.." Vance screwed up his face, still not thinking that his explanation would go over very well with the boy.
