From her spot in the tree, Sophia glared at Edward. She could smell his fear and nervousness as well as see it in his face. She realized there were only two reasons he would be so nervous. One) he had met these people before and was scared of them, or Two) he was hiding something. Considering what she had seen of his actions in their battles so far, she was betting on the latter. Not knowing about Black Jack's mental probing, she set herself up to see what she could of Edward's past herself. Soon her eyes glowed white as she tried to search his history for an answer, and adding her mental pressure to Black Jack's.
