Though the electricity didn't actually damage the sword (since conductors of electricity are rarely damaged by it--only those things unfortunate enough to be touching them) the energy intergerref with the enchantment that allowed it to fight independently of its owner, and it's movements became wilder, more drunken. Even so, it continued to swipe at the Moogle, without much success.


Deil immediately abandoned the third spell (it would've been Haste, in case you're interested) and concentrated on defense...

After the attacks subsided...they could see a battered, humanoid shape slowly levitating out of a HUGE, smoking crater. And he didn't look happy, either...

Deil mumbled a spell--Pyrum--under his breath, as a reddish energy seeemed to surround him. Then he vanished, as five huge, flaming rocks fell from the darkened sky and exploded on impact. The blasts were centered on Victor, and affcted everything with in a 20-yard radius.
