 Redd turned, for the first time noticing the wounded vampire. She blinked.
"Need a little help there vampie?"
She stepped forward and ran a practiced eye over his wounds, then after a few moments, grinned.
"A few burns, broken limbs and two damaged wings? Nuthin I can't handle. Hold still, it may hurt."
She held out her hands and closed her eyes, moving into the vamp's mind and cutting off the pain sensors for now--healing actually hurt like hell, and anyone who tells you otherwise is feeding you a load of crap. Luckily she was telepath. Soft golden waves of light emanated from her hands, sinking into Mardrave's skin and repairing the damage done by speeding up the natural process of healing by about 10,000 times. She reconnected the nerves in his head once she was done and straightened, opening her eyes,
"There. Better?"
