ha you guys cracking me up . Actually Ive always been glad about the whole woodentops thing and you guys are reinforcing the feeling, thanks a bunch. I can tell you that I was on the phone to Benny the other day and he laughed till he cried when i told him about the botched up Plenty intro and his reaction in the mike.
ha man, the shows were driving us as phsycotic as everyone else.
More in fact, we did it daily. One reason i'm so happy about Jordi's recording is that it captures a period where we managed to totally leave our influences behind. the jams got scary and demonic.
Sometimes the improvised part of the set wouldnt work. You know we'd try and try but all we'd done was deliver a frantic desperate load of inchorent noise. say 3 times out of ten. of the remaining 7 out of 10 , 5 would be "ok but not flying". the other 2 would make the whole tour for us. become the benchmark, the challenge to beat. Jordi's recording captures a '2' night. i will of course make the whole concert available from here.

You know we had a kind of in joke that we should stop for a few years, get used to the fact that life isnt about how dark a jam we could produce, make some children do something else for a while and then get back together and see what we do. We even thought maybe we'd send our next generation in and w'ed train em up. haha
