 Heh. It was in York. In those days, there wasn't a decent concert venue up there, so people were reduced to playing college dining halls (Alcuin college in your case). Of course I was an indie kid and the bands I was into weren't above that kind of thing so it worked out just fine. There was no "backstage" so someone put up what looked like a set of medical screens at the side of the stage and you all had to pile behind that before the encore. Everyone could see where you'd all gone - it was totally useless!

I was going to mention something about the Manchester Academy but I just read your next reply so I'll hang fire unless you specifically want some contact info. Right now the office is closed for a week though. There's always the Ritz!?
