Hi Rolo & the guys,
i first saw The Woodentops in 1984 at a venue called "Pumpwerk" in Wilhelmshaven/Germany - i was 15 at this time. The booker wasn`t quite shure which band he got for the evening and asked me "are they really good?". "Yes!", the first E.P. was sooo fucking great even labelmate Morrissey got frightened calling the fantastic Pygmies "Sudden Flops"...
This was the most important night of my teenage days in the crowd of a small but dedicated audience of 30 people. Since then i always wanted to be in a band.
