With little hope I'm asking can anyone help me find the forebears of Charles DOHERTY probably born Cork Co. 1870-1880. Legend has it that he left home very young, joined a circus and travelled with them to England, where he adopted the surname "MACK". He married in Liverpool (?) but later partnered my grandmother, and fathered two children, one my mother. I have only a letter written by him to my mother about 1950 when he lived in Ellesmere, Shropshire and I think he died there shortly after.
