Subject: The Dunes Question
I am urging all Ventnor residents to vote against the dunes project in Ventnor. How can we strap ourselves and our grandchildren into a 50 year contact that no-body knows what the total cost will be? Why are the politicians forcing this down our throats? I didn't ask for dunes...did you? Can you imagine how high our taxes will go. Who takes care of this mess? And what about the bugs and trash and rats that will live in that meadow weed on top of those dunes. We didn't need them before and we certainly don't need them now.

I'm with you Ventnor Man. I am urging my friends to vote no.
I'm a working girl that cannot afford a major tax increase for some make-work---get rich scheme for the politicians.
I love the beaches as they are. I don't want to see them ruined!

To vote against the dunes is the most ignorant thing you can do. All the fears you have against them are a bunch of bull. When your stupid boardwalk and homes get wiped out or water damaged by a storm, not one of you short-sighted idiots better expect taxpayer/FEMA bailout. If you agree with that- then go ahead and vote no.

Not to take advantage of the fed $$ NOW will make you vulnerable when you will need the assistance in case of storms. You won't get it later. Besides, these sand movers and dredgers (engineers) work up and down ther east coast and their kept busy by smarter states/people, they won't lose any sleep cause petty Jersey morons don't take advantage.
And what do you have to gain? Are you some part-time resident, rich snob who won't be able to see the beach from your precious first floor? Or are you connected to some builders/architect who wouldn't make $ if the homes are protected. Unprotected homes means you clean up when they get wiped out in a storm. I smell a weasel.
