Indeed. Allow me to add my well wishes to Mike's. I was a bit surprised to see that StacyAnn's board bit the dust. Does anyone know why?

I'll be sending out an email to everyone I know to come to this place at all possible speed.

Count me in, too! Thanks for being brave enough to take this on. You have the support of many people and it's great to have a place to share and occasionally vent!

I'm passing this on to others as well.

Yay, I'm so happy that you both arrived safely!

I think Stacy Ann was getting tired of everyone fighting, or she was getting complaints I guess. I'm not really sure. I guess it was becoming a headache for her, from the sound of the last things she posted.

I just want everyone to have a central online place to go for when they need to get in touch or find one another. To hang out, to inform everyone of upcoming events, etc...

As far as the controversy and arguing with one another, that's just the way it might be sometimes... keeps things interesting...just like at the faire...can you imagine how boring it would be if there weren't a few good swordfights scattered about the day.

Anyway...

P-) Enjoy!

Aunties give presents, and cheer you up. So Brimstone, we care and we love you dragons. (pinch Guy Todd's cheek) That's a good boy, Guy.

Re: board closing. There is an explanation posted by True on the Evil Duke's new site. Sorry to see StacyAnn go.

Actually having a couple of sites, might work, give it some time.

Thank you for giving us a home. Anyone for dinner?

A little loggy as I had some minor surgery yesterday, but definitely here! :-) Can I bring rice krispie treats for dessert for Sun. dinner?

Okay, I'll make dessert next week. :-) My pain level is low and I'm doing Rip Van Winkle imitations with great regularity. ;-D No wine or Percoset (unless they are virtual) for me, though. I'm a non drinker (although I love a nice sparling white grape or apple juice)and Percoset adn Percodan are flagged on all of my medical records under "How hard do you want me to vomit?" ;-) One of these days, I'm going to have to meander over to the hate board and post all of the things that I hate about surgery. ;-D

It's funny, I was a teetotaler for almot 22 years. I started drinking socially again, just to make the party thing easier (I found not drinking to be a real barrier in some social situations)and now everyone I know has given up the Demon Rum. I'm *always* outside the loop!! ;-)

I'm with you on the Percs though--I took them once, after I had my impacted (BADLY impacted) wisdom teeth blasted out of my lower jaw. The pills made me want to kill people (literally). After just one day I flushed 'em down the loo and stuck to aspirin...

mike :-) hope you are even better now!

*tee-hee* We first learned about my difficulties with percs. when I had wisdom teeth removed (now, that's JUST the time you want to be vomiting, eh?!) ;-D

As to drinking socially, it was very funny at a restaurant one evening after CTRF. All of us from All Bound Up had gone to dinner together. The waitress was taking drinks order and I was just after a couple of folks ordering beer/ale/etc. It just happened that what I was thirsty for that night was root beer. I calmly ordered my root beer in the exact same tones that my friends used to order their drinks (and without the slightest bit of self consciousness). The waitress did a double take, then gave me a warm smile and brought my root beer. :-)

Yeah but have you ever been ID'd for ordering rootbeer?

I am not a drinker myself... but I am a bit of a rootbeer conniseur (sp) I use to save the bottle from the different kinds I have tried... One time I ordered rootbeer when I was with a group of friends that were ordering drinks ...the waitress asked for my ID...and I smiled and said again.."rooootttt...beer"

I even know of a brewery in a town I lived in that brews it's own Micro brew root beer ;-)

*waves cheerily* Hallo, sister wench! Yes, I joined on the final day of Tux. this year. It only took 5 years of recruitment and 2 wenches who escorted me to the guildhouse and refused to let me leave the counter until I joined! ;-D
Now all of my friends are teasing me about how Miss (Mostly) Sweet and Innocent got a number ending in 69.
At least I'll never forget my local! ;-)

As I sit here at work and look to my left, I see a jar of Nutella. Mmmmm, just the thing to put on a plain bagel for breakfast. To my right is a very large jar filled with a variety of things chocolate.

SMOOCH to you, Trysh.
