Andrew,

A very well researched account of all 3 aircraft on St.Kilda & Soay appeared in `After The Battle` magazine Number 30. This is still available from ATB on their website, just type in www.afterthebattle.com.

With regards to the crew of the Wellington on Soay, I can add that the Wellington, although 99% certain to be LA995,still has an error of doubt, for only one Canadian cap badge was found at the crash site, and both LA995 & another MK8 Wellington lost in that area HX448 had 6 Canadians on board. No ID numbers on plates found could prove the identity of the aircraft. Though the engine numbers were known for both, plates on the badly corroded engines could not be read.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
Dave.
